7-29-2020 Our board has weighed the following challenges:

Our currently orphanage site is only available until the end of the year 2020.

Our new location is under construction but if we revised the building parameters we could reduce the budget.

Our children need consistent care and a sustainable environment.
As a result you will note that our facility building campaign was reduced from over $700,000 to less that $40,000.

Nile Orphan Care has partnered with many others to extend love and care to more than 900 orphaned children in South Sudan. We are thankful for the families, individuals and institutions that make it possible for us to support these fatherless children.
The children currently receive an education and nutritional aid on a property that is rented. For the year of 2020, we were given a one year extension for the lease of the property. Our new facility is under construction, but we still face the following needs:
- 18 classrooms, enough to house all of our 900+ students. We have shifted our goal from building a permanent facility to one that is temporary (10-20 year life span). This lower cost is a step of aspiration in serving the immediate need of our current generation of children who need a loving and functioning orphanage.
- Tents that are waterproof and able to last in the intense South Sudan sun. These will serve as temporary housing for our students.
- Prayer for our staff that daily minister to our children.
- Prayer for the Christian families help with temporary foster care and accommodations.
- Prayer with hope. We are up against a short deadline. We are faced with a large financial need. We are servants of the Living God who will display his perfect timing and perfect provision. We invite you to pray with us in expectation of his good answer.
As part of their sacrifice, children have now molded bricks and they are appealing to all people of goodwill to help them get what they cannot make by themselves (iron sheets, timbers, cement, engineers, etc). So our prayer in this “love and care”) fundraising is to help these children have a place they will call home—Orphanage Center that will consist of classes for learning, nutrition center and dormitories for sleeping.
